Wooo-hoo! You're almost there! Feel confident that all the decisions you are making are the right ones for you. You'll do great. Can't wait to meet the newest tiny orange when she arrives. Happy birthday to big sis.

Jen,

It was paper tape. I don't think there is any other fancy name for it. Your OB probably wrote about your allergy in your chart, but just make sure you tell all the nurses right before the surgery as well so it is not overlooked!

Oh Jenny, THANK YOU for posting that!!! Is there any chance you could find out what they used on you?? I am desperate to find a solution. The allergy accounted for 80% of my pain in recovery. I am so happy to hear I am not the only one!!!!!!!!! Jen

I had the same Surgical tape allergy! In fact... that part to me was the most painful of the whole ordeal...trying to get the tape off with all the blisters. yuck! I had a second C-section and they used a differnt tape and it was great...not a single problem and most importantly NO BLISTERS...A second C is SO much easier! Good luck!
