Love is in the Hair: Get Gorgeous for a Great Cause

Saturday, 02/12/11 is the big day for our BLOWOUT event at Tek Salon & Spa in Costa Mesa organized by the ever-so-fabulous hairstylist Tera Rae Stephens!

For a $25 donation you can get an amazing blowout (blow dry & style) by one of 10 stylists and get gorgeous for a great cause as 100% will be donated to pediatric cancer research.

Party planners Sharon from Cupcakes & Cutlery and Lauren from A Fabulous Fete have gone above and beyond to infuse so much cuteness into the event I can barely stand it. Do you wonder what will be done with all this fringe? Come in and see for yourself!

The newly opened Nothing Bundt Cakes in Costa Mesa will be there with bundtinis and Melanie from Sensitive Sweets is donating her yummy sweet mini cupcakes.

There will also be options to get a $25 spray tan or $10 brow shaping and a ton of hair products up for raffle (at $1 a ticket!) Again, 100% donated to our cause.

This LOVEly event will be happening from 12pm – 6pm. Appointments preferred, but walk ins are also welcome.

I Am Blogging My Heart Out Today!

Free Parenting Class at Pretend City

I met Dr. Ann Corwin {a.k.a The Parenting Doctor} when I took her free class at Pretend City last Fall. I wrote about her here. What an AWESOME class it was! So when I heard she was having another one, not only did I sign up immediately, but I wanted to do a post on it so you have the opportunity to attend too!

I love Dr. Ann because everything (in my opinion) that she says about parenting and children’s behaviors MAKES SENSE. I had several “oh, I GET it!” moments when I was taking her class.

Lulu Love: The Groove Pant

Oh, for the love of Lulu. I didn’t use to get it.

The first time I went into their Fashion Island store and saw the price tags on this workout apparel I almost fell over. But I sucked it up and bought some running shorts last spring and then I got it.

So when the weather changed, I decided it was time to buy my first pair of Lululemon workout pants. But still, $98 for a pair of workout pants?! It is sort of hard to get over. I hope my husband isn’t reading this post…
