Serta Adopt-a-Sheep for the Fight Against Cancer Event

That cute little face arrived in a box on our doorstep last month as a gift to from Serta with an enclosure card on how to “adopt” this #60 Sheep online.

But this isn’t just any sheep, this is a special little sheep, because for every one purchased, the profits from the sale are going to City of Hope™ to support the fight against cancer.

Oh, Serta, we love ewe! Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Burke Williams Day Spa: A Suburban Retreat

The car is too quiet.

No one is demanding a different song on the CD. No one is asking for a snack. What is going on?

I am in the Mission Viejo Kaleidoscope center parking structure. As I wind up, I automatically think, “Am I going to Jump N’ Jammin? Did I pack a change of clothes in case newly potty-trained Morgan needs them?”

But wait, no one is in the car except ME.

When I pull into the Level 5 parking lot, I see the lovely doors and the gold BW sign calling to me…whispering….no one needs you for a few hours…relax…unwind…breathe. I remember why I am there, I open the doors and exhale.

Goat Cheese, Sausage & Artichoke Breakfast Strata

I can’t tell you how many times I have Googled “make ahead breakfast casserole” searching for a great recipe I could make the day ahead for the time when we have had house guests. Susanne (my Tiny Oranges partner who also happened to go to culinary school which is why I refer to her as Your Sus Chef!) sent me this amazing recipe for a goat cheese, sausage & artichoke breakfast strata that I made for the day after Thanksgiving and it was A-MAZING! Tuck this one away for the holidays mamas! I am also making it this week for a Moms’ Group brunch potluck. Here is the recipe from Susanne…

This recipe is great because it’s make ahead, & perfect for feeding a crowd over the Holidays. Feel free to play around with the different flavors as long as you keep the measurements about the same. For example: pancetta instead of sausage, mushrooms instead of artichokes & sage instead of thyme, or whatever you dream up!

WARNING: This dish is rich & delicious! Perfect for Holiday decadence. Pair with some fresh sliced fruit to lighten up the meal~

Dream Come True Entertainment: Princess Characters for Parties [+ Giveaway!]

A few months back a friend asked me for a referral for an Orange County company with princess characters for her daughter’s 4th birthday party. I didn’t have one, so I reached out to my Tiny Oranges facebook friends, which is how we found Dream Come True Entertainment, a company which provides fairytale characters for children’s parties in OC and LA.

Both my girls went to this dress up princess party, and about a half hour into the festivities there was a knock at the door and RAPUNZEL was standing there sparkling. You should have seen the look on the girls’ faces! PURE magic!

Rapunzel was absolutely FABULOUS! Completely engaging, enchanting and kept the party moving from one fun princess activity to the next. My girls had the greatest time ever.

I spoke with the owner, Princess Megan, for a long time after the party to learn more about her company to share in this post.

With a passion for creating a larger than life experience for the girls, all the high quality costumes are custom made for each princess to be as authentic as possible and she believes in strict attention to detail, right down to the make-up and wigs…
