A Mother’s Wish {+ Sony Coupon Code!}

I wanted to share this cute video about “A Mother’s Wish” on MommytoMommy.TV because it is so true!

I was just saying to my husband the other day how much I don’t want to forget exactly what our 21-month-old is like at this point in time!  Every time I look at my almost 5-year-old I realize how fast time goes.  I don’t want to forget the expressions, the way she feels to hold on my hip, the gestures, the sayings, the moments. Everything. I just want to bottle it!

Make sure to watch the end of the video for a  Sony Coupon Code for the Sony Cyber-Shot T-99 models!  It’s the perfect gift for the special moms in your life this mother’s day so you can help them “bottle” the little moments.

Kids Birthday Parties: love ’em or hate ’em?

see more by

I posted awhile back that I was asked to be a co-host of MommytoMommy.TV by Kimberley Clayton Blaine (a.k.a The Go To Mom) and my episode aired last week. MommytoMommy.TV  is sponsored in part by Sony Electronics and features new, lighthearted fun shows every other Friday on current topics for moms.

The topic of my show is kids birthday parties… LOVE ’em or HATE ’em? I think there are definitely two schools of thought on the topic!  I know some moms love to go crazy and decorate to the nines and then others are “over it!” and go super simple. Where do you stand?  Are you on the “love ’em” or “hate ’em” party train? Please do comment, we want to know!

For me, the first couple years, I was soooo not into doing a big party, and we just had family at our parties.  But then last year, for Emma’s 4th, when she really “got it,” I have to admit I got a little caught up in the planning and went a little crazy.  Here was my rundown on our pretend pajama party.   So I have to say I done a little of both!

The day of filming was a ton of fun.  I was really nervous, but everyone at the shoot was super friendly and silly, so it made the day so relaxed.

We shot at the amazing Montage Laguna Beach, my gosh, that property is incredible.  I had never spent the day there before.  It was a day in October, but about 80 degrees, perfection!

We also got pampered as Tera Rae Stephens came and styled everyone’s hair.  She did a beautiful job and is always fun to be around, so thank you Tera!  By the way, check out her fabulous new website!

Melanie from Sensitive Sweets whipped up some darling cupcakes at short notice to be used during our shoot.  And, they tasted as good as they looked!  She can make gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, and soy-free cupcakes so if you know anyone with OC kids with food sensitivities, she is your gal for custom sweets!

My friend Michelle from Stylish Dish went shopping with me before the shoot to help pick out an outfit.  Love her blog. The ensemble was supposed to include a cute faux dark grey jacket and black tights, but since it was so hot that day, I ended up just wearing the dress. But have worn the jacket a gazillion times since then. Thanks Michelle!

We shot three shows that day, so I got to meet and hang out with two other amazing co-hosts – Sheila from Xialoin Mama and Jessica from Babbaco.  Here is a link to Sheila’s show on “Our Fav TV Shows & Celebrity Crushes” and Jessica’s on “Letting Go of Perfection.” And here we all are…not a bad view, huh?

From left…me, Jessica, Kimberley & Sheila

So here is my episode on kids parties.  It includes a cool idea on how to do video invitations, features an AWESOME Sony video camera (I am in LOVE), ways to make your party eco-chic and three great websites to use in your party planning.  Of course I am ultra-critical of myself, ugh, but I hope you like it… 🙂

New MOMMYtoMOMMY.TV Show Launches!

This is a very exciting post for me as I have a very fun announcement to share with you!

Whenever a fellow mom says she has an “announcement,” I know the first thing that can come to mind, so NO, I am NOT pregnant!  But I am excited to share the launch of a new online show for moms called MOMMYtoMOMMY.TV which I am sure will have webisodes dealing with pregnancy (just not mine) as it is a show exclusively for MOMS!  Here’s a little about this innovative new program…

The Internet is full of places where parents can go to find advice and ideas, but with so much information out there, it can be hard for mom’s to find one place that covers the hot topics that they actually want to hear about.

Kimberley Clayton Blaine, a popular mommy video-blogger and America’s favorite Go-To Mom (and founder of www.TheGoToMom.TV), announced yesterday a new series of unique online programming exclusively for moms called MOMMYtoMOMMY.TV!

Twice per month, Blaine (who produces and hosts the show) will team up with a different momblogger, mompreneur or celebrity guest to deliver info-tainment on the featured topic.  Now do you know why I am REALLY excited?

With its fast-paced style, the show is designed to entertain and inform moms about the things they care about most. The show will focus on relationships, health, child-rearing, social media, along with product highlights, services, and news to improve the quality of life for moms.  No topic will be left uncovered!

What’s more? Blaine has teamed up with Sony to inform moms of the latest and greatest technology so that they won’t miss one minute of those precious family moments.  With webisodes featuring great innovative new products like Sony® α (alpha) cameras, Bloggie™ HD MP4 cameras, Cyber-shot® cameras and Handycam® camcorders.

With celebrity guests, technology how-to’s, great advice, and a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at how a show like this is made there’s something for everyone at this new online community that is created by Moms for Moms. Be sure to take a peak this month at www.MommytoMommy.TV!

And are you ready for this?

I was SO honored (and honestly a little shocked) to be asked to be one of the co-hosts of an upcoming show!  I even have my own “Jennifer” badge, so I guess this makes it official!

We get to tape my upcoming webisode at the gorgeous Montage Laguna Beach – not a bad place to spend the day – WOW! And Kimberley is so much fun to be around, I know we are going to have a blast.

So STAY TUNED and TUNE IN. I know you are going to love the shows!

Have a great weekend everyone!  See you back on Monday!
