This weekend (November 6-8), Care.com is offering a Free Weekend of access. They are offering this special promotion to raise awareness for National Family Caregiver Month while giving families the chance to meet great, local care providers and screen lists of backup caregivers.
Take a few minutes to check out the website. They even have an exchange feature where you can trade babysitting with registered families and a care-on-call option to broadcast a message to sitters if you are in a bind at the last minute.
During the coming Free Weekend, all visitors to Care.com will get to experience the benefits of a premium membership to their service. Families can see full profiles for nearby care providers, contact them directly to set up interviews, check references, and request background checks for free!
I met a darling nanny at the park awhile back. I got to chatting with her and thought she was so great I asked how the family found her and she told me through Care.com. It was the first time I had heard about the site. I am for sure taking advantage of the free weekend to look for another sitter for back-up.

I have never heard of this site. Thanks for sharing. I had a great sitter but she left for college this year and I dont even know where to begin to look for one. I am definitely checking this out!
Thanks for this great post! I put an ad over the free weekend and got 30 responses in 1 day!!! I ended up paying the $30 monthly membership fee. It’s a great site!!
