By the end of this weekend, I know most of us will be cringing at the volume of jelly beans, chocolate bunnies and Peeps consumed by our kiddos and shudder at the thought of the sticky sugar coating their teeth.

But I am here today to share with you an exciting musical toothbrush for kids called Tooth Tunes that will make brushing away that Easter candy almost as entertaining as hunting for the eggs.

Moms, wouldn’t this make a fun addition to the Easter basket? I would text that Easter Bunny right now to put in your request…

Rock It Out to Tooth Tunes

Tooth Tunes and Tooth Tune Jr. brushes play two minutes of a hit music song to make sure kids are brushing for the recommended amount of time to do a thorough cleaning.

With songs like, “One Thing” by One Direction, “We Will Rock You” by Queen or “The Alphabet Song” on Tooth Tunes Jr., the kids are so distracted listening to the song, they don’t even realize they have been brushing for a full two minutes.

My Girls Love Tooth Tunes!

We received new Tooth Tunes toothbrushes this week and they were intrigued to try them.

When you press the button to turn it on when not brushing, you can hear the song, but not very loudly.

I could see their wheels turning, wondering what it would be like to brush with them and this is what they discovered: when you put the toothbrush on your teeth, the song actually plays clearly in your head.

The brush actually streams sound vibrations through the teeth so kids can hear the song while they brush. Isn’t that wild?!

When the brush is taken off the teeth, the song plays fainter, so it inspires kids to keep contact with their teeth the entire two minutes the song is playing!

My girls were hilarious the first time they brushed with them. They bopped up and down doing all sorts of dance moves. Especially since One Direction is one of their favorite bands. Of course.

I have never seen my oldest quite so happy while brushing her teeth (and she has some serious permanent chompers to brush) and my little one somehow turned into a Charlie’s Angel when armed with her Tooth Tunes…

brushing fun

What I love most about this product is I feel confident my kids are actually brushing long enough, not the usual 15 second turbo brush they try to pull off at times.

Let’s face it, when you are a kid, there are many other things you would rather be doing rather than brushing your teeth. Not so fun. But Tooth Tunes musical toothbrush for kids actually makes my girls excited to brush their teeth.

You can visit the “Where to Buy” link on the website and search by song as to where to buy. They even have a Kidz Bop version of “Wake Me Up.”  I have to say that’s a very cute way to start the morning.

What are Your Tips for Helping Kids Brush Longer?

Please tell us, what are your tips for making brushing fun? How do you get your kids to brush their teeth longer?

  1. How cute is this? How cute are your girls?!! I am totally trying this – my kids are usually fighting for control over the toothbrush – they want one quick sweep, and then done. I’m always trying to distract them them with conversation or silly songs I make up…as they brush longer. Can’t wait to try these brushes 🙂

  2. Christy – these totally work!!! It really does keep them brushing for two minutes! Tell me how it goes for you.

  3. Love the musical approach! I normally just grab the brush myself to really get in there after they say they’re done. Songs make it way better!

  4. Me too Susanne! And it has traditionally been not a very fun process. Now you too can rock out to One Direction with them :)!

  5. How fun is that?! My kids are notorious for the hyper-speed brushing. What a great time too to get them for their Easter baskets! Thanks!
