New Kids’ Games for the 2012 Holidays [Giveaway!]

Wonder Forge game company recently introduced a number of new kids’ games for the 2012 holidays focused on active play and teamwork and I am excited to share two I was sent for review. Please read below to enter to win both of these games as well in a giveaway!

The representative sent us the *sweet* Disney Princess Enchanted Cupcake Game, as well as an active game based on Jake and the Never Land Pirates called Who Shook Hook?

I will start with the cupcake game first because that sort of game is right up my girls’ alley. We were all *enchanted* with the game and it is one of those that even I liked playing!

The set comes with 12 adorable mini cupcakes that can be taken apart, and separated into wrappers, cake, frosting and toppers. How CUTE are these?

They come with sets of recipe cards based on princesses’ favorite combinations.  For example, Snow White’s recipe has a mini red apple as the topper.

You play the game by choosing a set of recipe cards and then work together to race to see how many cupcakes you can assemble before the timer is up.

My girls also love making up their own creations and mixing and matching the different combinations. The mini cupcakes are the perfect size for imaginary play with baby dolls as well. This game has provided hours of entertainment. Your girls will adore it.  Great gift idea for little girls.

Ideal for ages 3 + and my daughters, ages 3 and 6, and mom, age 38 all equally enjoyed it!

The next one we were sent was Jake and the Neverland Pirates Who Shook Hook? Game. As luck would have it, our neighbor friends were over to play when they arrived, so the girls all dove right in to check out the fun!

Ideal for ages 4 + (but my 3 year old could play it no problem) is based on getting treasures away from a sleeping Captain Hook on the suspended hammock.

By moving around spaces, you get your chance to remove treasures with the use of different tools, but have to make sure you have a steady hand so you don’t knock off treasures to fall into the swamp where Tick Tock Croc awaits below.

It was the sort of suspense that reminded me of the game Operation back in my day, so much fun for the kiddos, and a game that the whole family will enjoy.

[Disclosure: I was sent both games complimentary to facilitate this review. Receiving product does not guarantee a blog post, if I love it, I will blog about it, which was the case with these two games! 100% of my opinions are my own. Great games to put under the tree this year.]

  1. My 3 year old would LOVE both of these games. He loves to cook! In fact, he had a cupcake kit that was entirely plastic and without us knowing he turned on the oven and cooked the cupcakes! You can imagine the smell and the mess! He also dressed up as Jake for Halloween this year! So these two games are right up his interests!

  2. Both of my kids would love these games! And, to be honest, we don’t have a lot of games in our home.

  3. We would love to have these games… my son is the youngest of 10 grandchildren and we have lots of friends with young kids who would all love to play these fun games
