Pumpkins & Pancakes Event Benefiting CASA

I am very excited to tell you about a special Halloween event coming up on Sunday, October 24th, 2010 at South Coast Plaza {Crystal Court} called Pumpkins & Pancakes benefiting CASA.  My family has gone the last two years in a row and it is SO MUCH FUN!  And I have 4 tickets to giveaway! Keep reading!

Not only is it an amazingly fun Halloween event for your kids, but the money raised helps local abused and neglected children through an amazing non-profit organization called CASA (or Court Appointed Special Advocates) in Orange County. And,  CASA has been kind enough to offer Tiny Oranges 4 tickets to giveaway to this FUN event, so make sure to read below on how to enter to win!

The event takes over almost the entire Crystal Court wing of South Coast Plaza from 8:00am – 11:00am before the mall opens.  Spread out over the three levels, there are tons of fun things kids of all ages will LOVE.   One of our favorites is the incredibly YUMMY breakfast catered by Plums Cafe.  They provide the “pancakes” in Pumpkins and Pancakes and much more with a beautiful gourmet breakfast buffet.

Then there are a ton of activities!  You will find a costume parade (make sure to dress your little ones in their costumes), arts & crafts, dance party, face painting, a live animal show, silent auction for CASA and so much more.

I love that this special event provides OC families with the opportunity to treat your kids to a super fun Halloween party and an excuse to break out their costumes early, but most importantly, by attending you will also be supporting this organization and helping kids not as blessed as your own.  And that in itself is just a FEEL GOOD sort of event for the entire family!

Here are the details!

  1. FUN! We have missed this every year (usually out of town) but we will be here this year! Hooray! My son wants to be darth vader, my 2 1/2 girl Little Red Riding Hood, and my 1 year old girl is going to be a cheerleader. They are all bursting with excitement for Halloween!!! (PS I like you on FB too!) xxoo

  2. this is my son’s first halloween, and he is going to be a tiger! one of his “signature” sounds right now is to growl (and he’s only 6 months old). also, he’s is the year of the tiger – same as my hubby – according to the Chinese Zodiac.

  3. My 5 year old son is a BIG Cubs fan! He\’s going to be a Cubs Baseball player and his baby sister will be the mascott. Ill be his biggest fan and dad is to be his manager.

  4. My 2 1/2 year old son wants to be a skeleton for Halloween! Every time he sees a picture of one, he says “I wanna be that!”. This event sounds like a lot of fun and I would love to help out! I’ve sent your link to all my mommy friends! Hope to see you there!

  5. my boys haven’t decided yet… they change their minds two or three times a week. so, we’ll see : )

  6. My son (5) is set on being a zookeeper and my daughter (3) has decided she must be a pink horse — we’re making our costumes this year so they should be fun!

  7. This is a fantastic event, so fun. Hayden is going to be a bridesmaid and Kaylee wants to be a pink pig!

  8. Sounds exciting. I would love to take my kids. We will try to come and join all the fun and the fund raising. My daughter (4.5) wants to be a sailor girl since my husband has been deployed for almost a year, and my son (2) will be a SWAT boy.
P.S. I love you Tiny Oranges!!!!

  9. Son is going to be a band member from the Kiss Band and daughter is going to be batgirl. 🙂

  10. This is sort of embarrassing, but we aren’t dressing my daughter up as anything for Halloween. Last year, she was 3 months old and we put her in a duck robe we happened to have. This year, we happen to have a handed down ladybug costume, and I suppose we might put her in it if she wants, but she’s only 15 months old. All she really wants to do on Halloween is eat, poop, and play. Just like every other day.

  11. My 3 year old daughter has decided that she’s going to be a superhero for Halloween…..Batgirl to be exact!!!!
