Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family! Thank you so much on behalf of pediatric cancer paretns eveywhere for taking up the cause with such enthusiasm. You are raising awareness and spreading the word to people who are otherwise unaffected be ped. cancer and that is a great thing!
Gavin’s one year anniversay of his diagnosis of leukemia is January 1 and I can’t wait to wake up and give him a big kiss!

Kim – Your comment made my entire holiday! Thank you for taking the time to write and for your encouragement and sweet sentiments. Heading up our Tiny Oranges Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation Run/Walk team has been one of my highlights from 2010 because it makes me feel good to raise awareness, like you said, to other parents that are otherwise, thankfully, unaffected.
As parents I feel like we are all bonded in a universal bond. Because the overwhelming love we feel for our children is something that is universal.
So as a parent myself, I want to do anything I can to help other families whose children are affected by pediatric cancer. I want to help them. Families like yours.
You have an important anniversary coming up and I will be praying for your family. One year of fighting is behind you and you get to wake up and kiss your sweet boy.
I can\’t wait to cross that finish line with my team and all the other families in honor of celebrating how STRONG you are!!!
