Aden + Anais Blankies

Since all of this stuff is so fresh in my mind, I wanted to do a series on my personal “Top 10 Most Used Baby Products” – and the things I use about a gazillion times a day!   So, if you are a mom-to-be looking for items to add to your registry or a mom looking for a super practical (yet still fun!) gift for a baby, these items are pretty much guaranteed to get a ton of use!  BTW, they are in no particular order!  The first one in my list of 10 is the Sleep Wrap, see previous post.

My # 2 pick is the Aden + Anais Muslin Baby Wraps.  They came in a pack of 4 and I use them every day.  They are this wonderful gauzey (is that even a word??) type of material that is super light weight.  For a summer baby, they are amazing.  I use them for swaddling, as well as for covering the carseat when we are out on errands.

I bought mine at Milkalicious in Aliso Viejo (you can also shop online.)  My sister just told me she saw them at Target.  I am interested if they are the same quality?  Anyone have the Target ones?  Are they the same?

Since they are a TAD pricey, for a gift you can even buy a 4-pack, and give only one or two at a time  with something else.  I like to wrap mine with a little raffia ribbon when I split them up this way.

  1. I was just invited to two showers on the same weekend. I love the idea of splitting a 4 pack! Perfect and with some raffia will be super cute! Thanks for the suggestion. I\’m looking forward to your series. I\’m going to pick a pack from Target and let you know what I think 🙂

  2. They have also been perfect for covering her when it starts to cool off at night when we are out or in the air-conditioned mall!

  3. Yes the Target blankets are the same quality. They are $29.99 versus the approximate $45.00 cost of the ones in boutiques. The patterns for girls are not the same or as cute, but the boy options are super cute, which is a first since I have a boy and a girl. It is a great price point for a shower and the perfect gift for someone who has kids that run on the hot side. I am still using them for my baby girl for swaddling at night. But I think it is time to stop that? Great for blocking the sun in the stroller and nursing.

  4. Hello all of my lovely ladies! Aden + Anais does sell a Target brand that is slightly less expensive (a few dollars) but the quality of the muslin is the real difference. They use a different fabric for the Target brand, and truthfully, the blankets are not as soft. At Milkalicious, we match any advertised price, so we will honor the Target pricing, even though you are getting a far better product. You can visit our online store at http://www.milkalicious.org to look at the available styles and colors, or come on in and visit us at the store! Love, Jen

  5. I have 2 year old and 3 month old, and Aden & Anais wraps have been a baby staple. I just ordered a cute new print called “Baby Cakes” which just came out this week, can’t wait to use them!

  6. I have the blankets purchased from Hush Baby and they are wonderful. My mother-in-law bought me an extra set from Target and they are NOT the same. The size is the same and they are colorful and durable but NOT soft at all. Just stiff. Go for the more expensive product and you won’t be disappointed.
