Free Parenting Classes at Pretend City

Being a parent has been the hardest thing I have ever done. There are many times throughout each and every day where I question myself on how I handled a situation. Many times I really don’t know what to do. If I am being honest, being a mother has brought out a lot of insecurity in me for this very reason.

So, when I heard about a free parenting class offered at Pretend City this month called “Toddler Talk” I said SIGN ME UP! I can use all the help I can get!

Read for the Record

record

Join people all over the world this Thursday, October 8th to participate in the Read for the Record in an effort to promote childhood literacy! The mission of Read for the Record, which was started by Jumpstart in 2006, is to get children across the globe to read the same book, on the same day, in communities all over the world.

The book this year is (one of my personal favorites) The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.

The Early Literacy Program, a supported partner of the Children and Families Commission of Orange County, is supporting the efforts of Jumpstart locally to reach as many children and families in Orange County. The mission of the Early Literacy Program is to ensure that all children are healthy and ready to learn when they enter school by encouraging families and caretakers of young children to “Read Early. Read Aloud.”

How can you get involved you ask? Let me tell It’s easy and fun!Click here to read more!
