Holiday Photo Time!

Can you believe we are getting to that time of year?  Yep, that’s right!   Time to start thinking about taking your family holiday photo!   With all the holiday craziness, wouldn’t it be nice to have your photo taken and your card order placed by the time Thanksgiving rolls around?   Then you can send them out early, and phew, a big “to do” checked off the December list!  I am sort of neurotic that way, I like to send my cards the first week in December.  It makes me feel so good to have that done, as December just gets so BUSY!

If you are considering doing a professional pic this year, I would love to introduce you to Erin Palos of Sweet Baby Photo in San Juan Capistrano.  She is a super talented photographer and fellow mommy.  The first time I visited her website and blog I was blown away by her work.  The way she captures babies and kids is just incredible.    I love photography, especially admiring other people’s photography.   One of my goals some day is to actually learn how to use my digital SLR camera off of  “Auto” and take better pictures.    Any other SLR Auto-ers out there???  I think Erin might be holding a class after the New Year to teach moms and dads how to take better pictures of your kids.  I will keep you posted and believe me,  I will be the first to sign up!

She just took some recent pictures of Emma, and they are truly incredible. Some of them brought tears to my eyes as she just captured her essence!   She has such a way with the little ones.  Her sweet demeanor is so engaging to them.

I am excited to let you know Erin is holding a special holiday family portrait event next month on Sundayn November 2nd.

  1. I JUST took my digital slr off of auto and even though I’m getting fuzzy pictures here and there, the difference is amazing! You can do it, too!

I would LOVE to know about an upcoming class by Erin, so please keep us all posted!

  2. I have the same fuzzy problem sometimes…I WILL learn though, I am determined. It will be by goal for 2009! Glad to know I am not the only one that has used the fancy camera on Auto! I feel like I am cheating! 🙂
