iComfort Review 2 Years Later [+ An Exciting Announcement!]

Disclosure: I am a part of the Serta blogger program and received a complimentary mattress to facilitate iComfort Prodigy mattress reviews.  All opinions are 100% my own, genuine, authentic ones! We LOVE our bed. Big time. Here’s why…

iComfort Prodigy Mattress Reviews

That’s me, back in May 2011, when I travelled with a group of bloggers to the Serta headquarters in Illinois to learn about their memory foam mattress series, the iComfort Sleep System by Serta. We got to select the model that was the most comfy to us, and I have since blogged my iComfort Prodigy mattress reviews and experience to hopefully help anyone in the market for a new mattress.

Our iComfort Experience: 2 1/2 Years Later

My husband and I have never slept better than we do on our iComfort Prodigy. Looking back over the past 2 1/2 years we have been sleeping on it, these are the key things that have made the biggest difference in our quality of sleep.

Motion Isolation = Sounder Sleep

The most drastic difference I have noticed in my sleep is the fact that I wake up less in the middle of the night and my tossing and turning has been drastically reduced.

I attribute this to the iComfort memory foam technology, which isolates movement. If you have never slept on a memory foam mattress before, it is an entirely new (and amazing) sleep experience.

For example, if my 6′ husband rolls over in the middle of the night, my side of the bed remains relatively calm, so I don’t wake up because of his movements, and vice versa. This means we sleep sounder and wake up more refreshed.

Plush Support = Less Aches and Pains

Our prior mattress was about 14 years old, and essentially caving in on us. When you are accustomed to sleeping on a poor mattress, you don’t fully realize the impact your mattress has on your body until you sleep on a supportive mattress!

My husband used to get an achy back upon waking periodically on our old mattress. Since sleeping on our iComfort Prodigy mattress, his aches are gone. Now when we sleep away from home, our bodies are used to a certain level of quality, supportive sleep so we definitely feel a difference in the morning (and are always happy to return home to our iComfort!)

The iComfort Prodigy has the best of both worlds, because it’s still plush, but extremely supportive at the same time. I like a soft bed, and this model is soft enough for me while still getting the support we have grown to love.

My iComfort Prodigy Review Over Time

Our iComfort is just as supportive and comfortable now, 2 1/2 years later, as it was the first night we slept on it. We have had zero issues with sagging or loss of support. Zero. I have been extremely happy with how the iComfort Prodigy has held up over time and highly recommend it to anyone we know.

In fact, 98% of iComfort owners surveyed are satisfied with their mattress purchase, and 97% would recommend it to a friend (Source: GFK Buyer Satisfaction Study, 2012) To me, that says a lot!

  1. Ohhhhh, I will definitely be entering when the time comes for that amazing giveaway! My husband and I were in Sears today looking at tools. We don’t usually go over by the mattresses but we did today. I saw a few I liked. But when I walked past the iComfort mattress that was displayed I paused. I laid my hand on it and was immediately impressed with how cushy yet sturdy it felt. I gave my husband “the look”. He could tell by that look that it was a mattress that we will definitely be looking into purchasing not too far down the road. Expensive, but worth it in the long run. And with my back surgery a few years ago and the pain I still deal with now and then, a new mattress is a must.

  2. Thanks for your comment Rebecca – I totally agree – once you just FEEL the iComfort you FEEL the difference. Good luck to you!!!!

  3. I love my iComfort! Definetly wake up less tired and less yawning than when I had a regular mattress. I’ll never go back! haha. Ahhh its like sleeping on a cloud.
