OK to Wake! Children’s Alarm Clock and Nightlight

In the last trimester of my sister’s pregnancy, she found her toddler shouting out earlier and earlier in the morning to get up. Finding herself needing just that extra 15 to 30 minutes of sleep before taking on the full day with an energetic toddler while being very pregnant, she went online to see if a clock existed for children which signaled when it was morning time and she found the OK to Wake! Children’s Alarm Clock and Nightlight.

The color changing nightlight timer teachs children when it is morning as parents set the “OK to Wake” time.  There is also a separate “Nap Timer” for afternoon napping or quiet time.

When the clock turns green, “Green means GO!” and toddlers can learn to wait for the green light before getting up to visit with mom and dad.

They have had huge success with this product so I wanted to share it in the case a solution like this might be helpful to your family’s sleeping situation!

  1. We have one of these for my 6 year old and have had it since she started Kindergarten last year. I wish I would have had it early to set the “ok to wake feature.” This would have been invaluable. I’ll definitely use it on my youngest when she’s ready. The alarm sound itself would wake the dead but I guess that’s what a sleeping child needs… We haven’t really used it, but the learn to tell time feature is a nice plus too.

  2. I have this same one and it’s wonderful! My two year old totally understood the concept and doesn’t come in to get me until the light is green. Sometimes I hear him in there 20 mins to a half hour before the set time, but he still waits! I recommend this ALL the time! Super easy to use and set too!
