Sweet Holiday Tradition

I read about this idea in a magazine last Christmas, and thought it was just priceless.  I plan to do it for my kids for both Christmas and Easter, and since Easter is coming up, I wanted to share!  You can do this for any special holiday your family celebrates.

Isn’t it nice to have something that lasts long after the jelly beans and chocolate eggs are long gone?   This Easter, buy your kids a new, special Easter book.  On the inside cover of the book, trace their little handprint and put the date.   This way, as their “Easter Library” grows each year, you can pull out her books from years past and see how their tiny hand has grown.  I think it is a special way to capture their size at the time of the holiday, and a wonderful keepsake for years to come!

  2. Such a great idea! I love having little traditions, but I’m not so good at coming up with them on my own! Love this and how precious to see those hands grow every year! Thank you Jen!
