Beginning Thursday, December 3rd The Glory of Christmas will celebrate its 29th year as it opens to Southern California locals and visitors from around the world.  Spectators will experience the living nativity with flying angels, Christmas carols, professional dancers, and child and adult soloists.  The pageantry is set to a soundtrack recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra complimented by the Crystal Cathedral’s world renowned pipe organ.

The Glory of Christmas began in 1981 and has grown into a production enjoyed by sold-out audiences of over 2,500.  Months of preparation including auditions, set construction, lighting load-in, and a patented track and rigging system bring The Glory of Christmas to life allowing seven angels to soar gracefully up to 80 ft above the crowd at speeds of almost 25 mph.

The current Miss California (Miss America), Kristy Cavinder is thrilled to return to The Glory of Christmas for her seventh year.  This year she has earned the role of female lead dancer.

Animals also play an integral role in the production’s recreation of the ancient land. In The Glory of Christmas you will see three adult camels and a baby, six horses, goats, sheep, donkey, and a miniature donkey.

Ticket prices begin at $35 and reach $45 for front Main Floor and South Balcony seating.  Special Discount Nights offer all seating for $20.  Seniors over the age of 62 and children 12 years & younger receive a $2.00 discount except on Discount Night.  Group rates are also available on non Discount Nights.
