Tickle Time Mineral Powder Sunblock Review

Recently I was sent a tube of Tickle Time Mineral Powder Sunblock for Kids for review. When I got the email asking if I was interested in learning more, the answer was a quick yes!

Skin cancer runs in my family and we live in Orange County where the sun shines year round so protecting my girls’ skin with daily sunscreen is not an option, it’s a necessity.

Tickle Time Mineral Powder Sunblock for kids was created by actress Anne Heche who wanted to create a sunscreen for her kids that was fun, but not irritating, and could be applied without the typical protests common when applying lotions, creams or sprays.

Do your kids protest sunscreen application? Sunscreen application used to be full on warfare in this household, that’s why this product has me tickled pink!

Why I Love Tickle Time Mineral Powder Sunblock for Kids

1. It is easy to apply each morning before school.
2. They LIKE putting it on.  We yell, “Tickle Time!” and it makes it fun! No more screaming protests.
3. It is a powder, so it almost goes on like a light makeup.
4. It’s fast and you don’t have to worry about it going in their eyes.
5. It is perfect to carry in your purse for impromptu park outings, etc.

  1. Just saw this on the news yesterday! Thanks for the review and link. 300 applications!? Awesome, and what a great stocking stuffer.

  2. Yes!!!!! We love, love, love it! Wouldn’t have thought of the stocking stuffer idea – cute! Order now to save on shipping!

  3. Hi Jen! This is an awesome idea, I love it! I’m just wondering if you can tell me what the SPF is? Thanks!

  4. I LOVE this stuff. When my oldest was tiny I was given a tube of sunscreen powder (different brand) and used it up. I went to order more and couldn’t find that company anymore. It was only recently that I came across Tickle Time. I generally use it only on their faces and heads. I can’t tell you how much easier it is to put this stuff on my daughter than the lotions.

  5. So glad you’re enjoying your Tickle Time sunblock. Happy to answer any of your questions!

    And a note about SPF…

As you may know, “SPF” stands for “Sun Protection Factor”. With most sunblocks, this rating lets you know how often you need to reapply the product to stay protected from the skin. But since Tickle Time doesn’t absorb into the skin or dissipate in water, you don’t need to reapply Tickle Time unless you wipe it off with a towel.

  6. I’m ordering some right away, my girls will love it. I had one for myself from the dermatologist and it was great. I’m always looking for the easiest way to apply the sunscreen. It’s not an option living in SoCal….

  7. Love the stocking stuffer idea SaraC! My only comment was I wish TIckle Time was offered in SPF 30. Dermatologists say that anything higher than SPF 30 is a marketing ploy (like SPF 75), but that there is a difference between SPF 5, SPF 15 and SPF 30.

  8. My kids are are on swim team and swim all summer. What do you do for body application or is is for faces and small, areas

  9. Hi Allison –

I just use it on my girls’ faces for daily incidental sun exposure (school, park outings, etc.).

I just use it on their faces, and sometimes chest and shoulders.

    Hope this helps!

    Jen
