Over Presidents’ Week this past February my family and I had the BEST trip to Santa Barbara at the lovely Hotel Oceana. I wrote all about the awesome family friendly hotel HERE. On our getaway we discovered a ton of things to do in Santa Barbara with kids so I wanted to share them with you!
We went for 3 nights, giving us 2 full days to explore. I wished we had a third day, but I would recommend at least 3 nights so you can fit it all in.

My oldest daughter, Emma, has taken dance classes at Tiffany’s Dance Academy of Costa Mesa for the past two years and we absolutely love their program so I wanted to share it with you as their 2012/13 season opens for registration on Tuesday, April 24th. The next season starts on July 9th.
The studio offers dance instruction and classes for all ages and abilities in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop. The studio is owned by Tiffany Henderson and Directed by Christie Ball.
Their children’s programs include Twinkle Babies Dance™ , a 30-minute class for 2 – 3 year olds and Twinkle Stars Dance™ which are 45-minute classes for ages 3 – 4, 4-5 and 5-6.
My mother-in-law is from Switzerland so I am lucky enough to have experienced her homemade traditional swiss cheese fondue on many occasions. It is simply one of the best things in the entire universe.
I love fondue because a FUN-due (sorry) dinner is about more than the cuisine, it is about the experience. I love the leisurely pace. When you are having fondue, there is no rushing, just good conversation and time to indulge in each delicious bite-sized morsel.
