Fa la la la spa…Pure Blu Spa Giveaway!

Looking for a gift idea this holiday season for a special mom in your life (perhaps yourself!?)

How about a gift certificate for a treatment at one of my favorite local OC spas, the fabulous  Pure Blu Spa at the Newport Beach Marriott? I can guarantee it would be a sure fire hit and would have the recipient singing fa la la la….SPA!

So I am thrilled to have a giveaway from Pure Blu Spa today of a gift certificate for a 50-minute treatment of their choice ! Be sure to enter below!

My Tiny Oranges partner, Susanne, and I went to this spa a few weekends back to do some business planning for 2012. I can safely say there is no place I would rather do some work than at a spa!

Pure Blu is a perfect retreat for locals wanting to recharge. Located in the loop adjacent to Fashion Island, it is easy to get to and I love that valet parking is validated with a spa service.

This is the type of spa where you can go and make a whole DAY out of it. Spa guests can enjoy their great amenities like a salt water jacuzzi, eucalyptus steam room, sauna and a cobalt blue tile cold water foot bath.

And for warmer days, you can also relax out by the private saltwater dipping pool, surrounded by comfy, plush lounge chairs and a line of white cabanas.

Now let me tell you about my Bamboo Lime Massage which is new to the Pure Blu services menu. Allow me to quote the exact description…“Warm bamboo sticks are utilized as an extension of the therapist’s finger tips, complete with a citrus twist to leave you floating off the table.”

My massage was truly in the realm of other-worldly. The entire time I was so relaxed I felt like I was floating in and out of consciousness. Their floating description is completely true!

The warmth of the sticks worked every knot and muscle.  Sometimes I couldn’t tell which were the sticks and which were the therapist’s finger tips as she alternated them but kept the movement fluid.

It was truly one of the best treatments of my entire life. I was treated to the 80-minute version. That extra half hour can really put a gal over the edge into pure relaxation bliss.

The treatment ended with a citrus scrub of my calves and feet. I love getting scrubs and this was a delightful addition to the massage and I left feeling like a million bucks with soft feet as a bonus!

Susanne got a facial treatment and I asked her to write about her experience, this is what she said…

“I was SO overdue for a facial and let me tell you the Pure Blue 02 Facial did not disappoint! It was 80 scrumptious minutes of wonderfully smooth applications of different vitamin/antioxidant filled serums & lotions. The relaxing use of steam to clear my pores and gentle extractions was perfection (because, that’s kinda the whole point, to get the junk out, right?)

THEN Andrea started in with the oxygen machine which alternates between gentle blasts of moisturizer and oxygen to actually push the moisture down into the skin.

It felt sublime and my skin seemed plumper when she was finished. I loved that I had the appointment in the afternoon on a Sunday and had NO plans so I could go home & leave all the goodness on my skin to soak in overnight.

The reason I love choosing a facial when faced with the terrible task of selecting a spa treatment is because it’s the best of both worlds because a facial usually includes a quick neck massage.

Well with this 80 minute treatment there was plenty of time for an added neck, shoulder, arm, lower leg & foot massage AND a special oil treatment + warm mitts for my hands.

I’m feeling the rejuvenating effects, I’ve got my glow on & I’m SO ready to take on this crazy Holiday season…Thank you Andrea & Pure Blu!!!”
