Guest Blog – Kids Eat Free

This awesome guest blog is written by Michele, who’s all about free stuff!   Pair one of these free meals with some free play at a Fun Orange County Parks

Michele writes…

“I ran a Kids Eat Free blog for a while – complete with menus – before I got worried about copyright issues. Plus, after doing it for a couple months, I realized all the kid menus are pretty much the same (chicken strips, burgers, mac ‘n cheese, etc.). So here is some leftover info from my days as a kid’s restaurant blogger. Some things to think about:

  • Most require purchasing an adult meal.
  • Some restaurants limit the # of free kids meals.
  • If you see a chain restaurant with a location near you – call to see if they have a kids eat free day.
  • Sometimes drinks and desserts are included, sometimes not. Read the fine print.
  • Most of the specials are for dinner only.
  • ALWAYS call to confirm the kids eat free specials. They change often.
  • Finally, you’ll be saving anywhere from $3-$7 per meal. But would you be eating out anyways? Or are you spending $25 for the adult meal that you wouldn’t normally spend? I can feed my whole family a fresh, amazing meal at Albatros in Lake Forest for about $15 (or less) WITHOUT a kids eat free deal!

  1. Thank you so much for this list! Ok seriously this rocks! Michele you are so awesome! Jen thank you for these amazing guest posts!

BTW today is Ruby’s rollback day. Burger/fries combo 2.79. I think we are skipping dinner duties today and heading to Ruby’s.

  2. What a great list! Thank you! I will say, Chick-fil-A on Tuesdays is great … it gets crowded but the kids get more then eating for free – free art craft (pretty nice ones) and a balloon … plus usually a visit from the Chick-fil-A cow (so funny seeing how excited all the kids get to see a character, even the Chick-fil-A cow, LOL!!!) I love how you organized by days – we hardly go out to eat during the week but when we do this will be a great resource, thanks!

  5. Denny’s will also let you use one of their coupons on a kids eat free night! A lot of other restaurants won’t let you combine a coupon with a free kids meal night. Love the list Michele!
