The calendar has turned, Fall is in the air and this month you can take your little goblins to experience a new kind of Halloween treat at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure!

Mickey’s Trick-or-Treat Party at Disney’s California Adventure

My family was lucky enough to experience Mickey’s Trick or Treat Party on Friday night, full moon and all! It was a beautiful night, probably about 78 degrees, the type of night that makes you happy you live in OC. However, my daughter’s furry costume made for one hot little Elmo. I was glad we brought some regular clothes too. I kicked myself for not throwing in last year’s Abby Cadabby costume – would have been way more weather-friendly!

A little about this super fun one-of-a-kind event! For 11 nights in October (8,9,15,16,21,22,23,28,29,30 & 31), adults and children alike can dress up and trick-or-treat in the ultimate Disney neighborhood. Click here to read more!

When I got the title of this guest blog I just couldn’t resist! Just typing the can-can line made me smile! Sarah is a mommy of 3 little ones and wrote a guest blog on the virtues of canning. She writes…

“Have you noticed how inexpensive apples are lately? Fall fruit is getting ready to go into full swing! Why not preserve this fall’s bounty with a little project at home? Canning and freezing fall fruit is an easy way to teach your children about eating in season and allows your family to eat seasonally (and inexpensively) year round. Click here to read more!
